Synthetic satellite observations for ACIX-IV

Scientific challenge

The Atmospheric Correction Inter-comparison eXercise (ACIX) compares the performance of atmospheric correction processors, primarily through their surface reflectance products. Aerosol optical depth (AOD) and total-column water vapour are also relevant outputs. The fourth phase, ACIX-IV, offers an opportunity to evaluate processors against controlled, physically consistent synthetic observations.
